Over the years I worked in the most amazing studio’s.........with a view or without windows.....3rd floor and no elevator....rent cheap as chips or a monthly killer......with a variation of travel distance from home to studio in half a minute up until 45 minutes.....
as small as a bathroom till as big as a ballroom......and must admit that both sizes worked on my nerves.......but it's quite a challenge to start all over again every time in a new setting......
one thing I know for sure the combination life/work suits me the best……
biggest studio ever ..... Zamenhofstraat in Amsterdam
with this mesmerizing view.....The IJ- Amsterdam's waterfront

Chicago; one part of this enormous loft claimed as my studio.......

the other part the living room.....

the very handy garage in Manly- Sydney-.......hosing down and clean in a sec......
I am lucky that my boyfriend loves to 'photo shoot'.....
He is quite talented!! and most of the time the result is great......
ceramics is a very difficult material......too shiny- terrible reflections......
all my pieces, all the ideas, everything is very well documented……his photo library is jumbo……
and next to the steady hand he has mind-blowing ideas and is a great discussion and sparring partner!
here are a few images we used for invites and business cards over the years....

and ofcourse almost all the photos on my blog are made by Dick......

A little movie shot a few years ago. Me in the beginning of my 'wheel-throw-career'......Bubbly and wobbly clay everywhere.....Never knew that it can be so hard and difficult to centre a ball of clay!

Ideas&Thoughts.
I get most of my ideas when I am not awake. I always have a little sketch book on me.....just incase one of those nighttime thoughts pops up again.
Some of the ideas became real life objects very quickly, some never leave the book.......
