The Tulip Fields is a triptych, more than 4 metres long and the total amount of clogs: 464
it is a tribute to the beautiful, geometrical colored, tulip fields in Holland during spring......
using the clogs to create the fields, links the work to the images of Holland that exist around the world......
and yes; me too......I was the proud owner of a pair of wooden clogs......for a short period - 2 bloody months- it was very fashionable in the seventies......

table runners and scarves......both are forerunners to BB Textiles
old fashioned upholstery cloths with combinations of ceramic patterns and textures and hand printed patterns.....
work in progress kind of thing…..
in the meantime 25 scarves in my studio....
no problemo!
schmuck up that simple summer dress or boring winter coat with a BB scarf!
taraah! use a stickpin; be creative and voila: a BB Poncho!
and what about a BB Head Wrap, BB Babushka or a BB Tichel......

in 2001 among other things 50 wine coolers for Tools Advertising......
in Chicago, in 2003, Hoogwegt - originally a Dutch company - wanted to give their clients a special X-Mas gift......

Over the years I worked in the most amazing studio’s.........with a view or without windows.....3rd floor and no elevator....rent cheap as chips or a monthly killer......with a variation of travel distance from home to studio in half a minute up until 45 minutes.....
as small as a bathroom till as big as a ballroom......and must admit that both sizes worked on my nerves.......but it's quite a challenge to start all over again every time in a new setting......
one thing I know for sure the combination life/work suits me the best……
biggest studio ever ..... Zamenhofstraat in Amsterdam
with this mesmerizing view.....The IJ- Amsterdam's waterfront

Chicago; one part of this enormous loft claimed as my studio.......

the other part the living room.....

the very handy garage in Manly- Sydney-.......hosing down and clean in a sec......

I am lucky that my boyfriend loves to 'photo shoot'.....
He is quite talented!! and most of the time the result is great......
ceramics is a very difficult material......too shiny- terrible reflections......
all my pieces, all the ideas, everything is very well documented……his photo library is jumbo……
and next to the steady hand he has mind-blowing ideas and is a great discussion and sparring partner!
here are a few images we used for invites and business cards over the years....
